Death Had A Beginning...Death Has An End
by PJ

* Buddhists teach that through reincarnation the human soul lives after human death.
* Hindus teach that man in his next life can take on the form of animal life or even insect life.
*Communists teach that man is not immortal and has no future.
*Infidels teach that man is not immortal and has no Creator.
*Rationalists teach that man has no proof of immortality.
*Evolutionists teach that man evolved from an amoeba and will continue to evolve.
*Humanists teach that man is his own creator and god.
*Philosophers teach that man is confined to wandering in mental darkness without hope.

Man, with all his genius, tries to escape death but with the exception of Enoch and Elijah, death has been 100% sure, democratic, without boundaries and none have successfully not succumbed to it. Which just goes to prove, you can believe anything you want but there is only one truth.

Death had a beginning and death shall have an end. In all the searching of mankind, until one understands the truth of the beginning of death, one cannot understand the ending of it.

B'resheet/Genesis 2:8-9 AMP records "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil." B'resheet/Genesis 2:15 AMP further records, "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."

Adam had a unique privilege of earthly fellowship with his Creator. He walked and talked with G-d in the cool of the evening. During these times, G-d communicated to His created being, teaching him. G-d spent hours teaching Adam His ways. More than any other man, except Yeshua/Jesus, Adam knew G-d intimately. Adam was not ignorant of G-d's ways and Adam had every opportunity to fully understand the consequences of disobedience.

Even before Eve was created, it is recorded in B'resheet/Genesis 2:16-17 AMP "And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat; But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." Adam had not taught his wife. And even worse, when Eve ate the forbidden fruit, Adam chose her over G-d and ate in total disobedience to G-d's warning. What happened? Eve became Adam's idol ahead of G-d.

G-d's Word teaches that death is a curtain that separates earth from heaven. As a veil through which passage is only one way, death is governed by certain "laws" that belong to G-d. T'hillim/Psalm 68:20 AMP says "He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto God the Lord belongs the issues from death."

When Yeshua/Jesus died on the cross and was buried, His spirit went into the lower regions into the realm of the dead where Yeshua/Jesus fought a battle and took away the keys to hell and death from ha`satan/satan. Because of this awesome victory of our L-rd Yeshua/Jesus, we are free of the fear of death and it's power over us for it's now in His hands.

The Apostle Paul/Rav. Saul by divine revelation from G-d tells us that the bodies of the dead who have accepted Moshiach/Christ will be resurrected when Yeshua/Jesus returns for His church. Their bodies decay in the ground right now, but their souls reside with G-d. It is the Apostle Paul/Rav. Saul who said "to be absent from the body is to be present with the L-rd." According to the Scriptures, the souls of those who have died rejecting Moshiach/Christ are sent to a place of torment.

If you begin to understand the reality of life...life has a beginning, when we are born. Death has a beginning...when we are born because we are born into the sin nature. Death has an end because it is held by a time limit. When that time limit expires...all that have been born and died shall be resurrected and appear before their Maker. Life never ends. We shall spend our eternal life with G-d or separated from G-d depending on the choices we make.

I've given a great deal of thought to death over the years. I've lost so many loved ones and experienced some terrible tragedies. Many people have asked me what death is like. Truthfully I don't know. However, I believe the moment we leave one realm we enter another. I believe we look the same because our spirits fashioned the shapes of our earth suits. I suspect death is a lot like taking off an old garment.

Death is not the end. We may feel great loss and sadness or remorse at the loss of a loved one or a friend. But if we truly trust Yeshua/Jesus, He said in Yochanan/John 11:25-26 AMP "I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die." Dying does not end a person's life. Your spirit is the real you. It is eternal.

This brings me to ministering to the bereaved. We need to watch our words and really minister lovingly to hurting people; especially during times of trial, weariness and grief. Careless remarks do not help a bereaved family! Comfort those who are brokenhearted, no matter how the situation got to where it is. Walk in love.

I am reminded of the death of King Uzziah. Few realize that King Uzziah and Isaiah were cousins. When King Uzziah died, Isaiah went to the Temple to pray during his personal loss and grief. When he entered the Temple he saw the L-rd, high and lifted up and His train filled the Temple. The Scripture declares that G-d does not take lightly the death of His children. I believe G-d is so near the broken-hearted that if we will stop and look closely during such times, we shall see Him.

While this isn't the most pleasant of topics, it is a necessary topic to address. We don't like the separation from our loved ones and friends that death brings. I have great faith. Perhaps when we start walking in the love of G-d and acting and speaking like Yeshua/Jesus in these kinds of situations, we will start seeing the dead become unable to remain dead. Perhaps then we shall see death start to succumb to life. Love is the key and we are, after all, the generation!
