How To Find G-d's Candidate by PJ
There is no doubt that we live in the most perilous of times. Yeshua said these days would come, and so they have. Amid all the clamoring threats of lawlessness, terror, crime and hate, it's very easy to get caught up in the furious fervor and mud slinging that goes on in election processes. It is for this reason that I want to address the issue of how, amid all the words being spoken, to find the correct candidate for which to vote. I've heard a few say they will not vote because they cannot see differences between candidates. I've heard some base their vote on personal decisions, likes and dislikes. However, there is a way to find G-d's candidate. I even heard a candidate boast that G-d does not have a side. You might ask, G-d has a side, a favorite candidate? Indeed He does. It is not always easy to find G-d's candidate but with prayer and following the Word of the L-rd, you can do so.
Romans 13:1-7 AMP says "Let every person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God (by His permission, His sanction), and those that exist do so by God's appointment. Therefore he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged (in divine order). And those who resist will bring down judgement upon themselves (receiving the penalty due them). For civil authorities are not a terror to (people of) good conduct, but to (those of) bad behavior. Would you have no dread of him in authority? Then do what is right and you will receive his approval and commendation. For he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, (you should dread him and) be afraid, for he does not bear and wear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant to execute His wrath (punishment, vengeance) on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be subject, not only to avoid God's wrath and escape punishment, but also as a matter of principle and for the sake of conscience. For this same reason you pay taxes, for (the civil authorities) are official servants under God, devoting themselves to attending to this very service. Render to all men their dues. (Pay) taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, and honor to whom honor is due."
Yesha'yah/Isaiah 9:6 AMP says "For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father (of Eternity), Prince of Peace."
From these two passages of scripture alone you can see a Divine Order of government and civil authority. Yeshua is the Bearer of Government. Those that rule, rule by Divine authority. When you hear people speak evil of Yeshua, it's a red flag because they are not recognizing that He is the top governing authority. When you hear people speak against ruling authorities, it's a red flag because they are in power by Divine appointment. When you see disrespect and dishonor to governing authorities, it's a red flag because rebellion against Yeshua and Divine authority are not of G-d.. No, I'm not saying you cannot disagree with a wrong principle of a governing authority, but it should be handled agreeably. When you hear disrespectful terms and personal attacks against a governing authority, you must use the Word of the L-rd to be the final authority.
If you are upset about the ruling authority in your city, state or nation, I want you to stop and remember something. G-d has the power to change the heart of any ruling authority for the sake of His people. He did it with Nebuchadnezzar and He can do it with whomever is in office. His arm is not shortened that He cannot save. When you read the Word of the L-rd you will find written those things that are abominable, sinful and unacceptable to the King of the Universe. Abortion, homosexuality, perverse sex, same sex marriages, libel, lying, cheating, slander are all BIG issues with G-d. This kind of bad behavior was something that the dark angels rebelling against G-d got into. It was addressed in the Book of Y'hudah/Jude and we should all profit from wisdom and learn from it.
Y'hudah/Jude 7-8 AMP "(The wicked are sentenced to suffer) just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the adjacent towns -- which likewise gave themselves over to impurity and indulged in unnatural vice and sensual perversity -- are laid out (in plain sight) as an exhibit of perpetual punishment (to warn) of everlasting fire. Nevertheless in like manner, these dreamers also corrupt the body, scorn and reject authority and government, and revile and libel and scoff at (heavenly) glories (the glorious ones.)"
Any time you see someone running for office consider that you are voting to put that person in authority over yourself. If you choose a person who falls into a category of wickedness or representing wickedness (even if he/she is the most handsome or beautiful, makes the most promises and perhaps is the most likable), you are literally putting yourself under the same judgement that shall fall upon that person. G-d expects us to use wisdom to choose elected officials and governing authorities. He has given us an outline of what is good and that which is not. If we choose that which is not good, we act in foolishness and shall suffer as a result.
I have noticed as we get closer and closer to the coming of Yeshua, the tests get more and more difficult. These tests separate the true followers of Yeshua from those that are sort of followers of Yeshua. I urge you to pray and allow the Holy Spirit/Ruach Ha`Kodesh to lead you as you cast your vote. Be known as a faithful follower of HaShem in all things.
