Sins of presumption are very ugly. They are sins where the person committing them thinks nothing will happen to him/her. The people committing sins of presumption believe they've lived in this sin and nothing has happened to them so far so they're not going to panic and change.
Sins of presumption are committed with the belief that since G-d hasn't judged this sin so far, He probably never will. Presumption believes that G-d will never judge or there will never be any penalty because G-d is good and after all, I am His child or I believe in G-d. Presumption operates on probabilities not substantiated and has nothing to do with facts.
I have even heard people say, "I live under grace so G-d won't judge me." Oh really? G-d's judgment is not necessarily punishment for sin. G-d's judgment is backing up your choice. All G-d has to do is back away from your sin and have nothing to do with your choice. The sin itself will pay the wages of death. Do you think ADONAI just got up yesterday and changed His mind about sin?
Any time a person believes that he/she can continue sinning because G-d isn't going to do anything about it, that person is on dangerous ground. Do you really believe G-d is never going to do anything about the pornography you are watching, the profanity coming out of your mouth, the lies, the ingratitude, the unforgiveness, the anger, the lust, the adultery, the fornication, the abominations, the murder, the coveting, the pride, the cheating, the stealing, the refusal to pray and study the Word? Do you honestly believe the Almighty Maker of Heaven and Earth is not going to do something about the way you mistreat people, the name calling, the judgmentalism, the turning up your nose at those you think less than yourself? Do you truly believe He's ignoring every time you make fun of others or your haughty attitude that keeps you from reaching out to those you consider so much lower than yourself or those people you pass over for promotion just because you have a friend you want to give the job? Do you think G-d didn't see when you saw evil attacking your brother and you didn't lift a hand to help him? Do you believe G-d is blind to your racism and hatred? Do you think G-d knows the difference between what really motivates you compared to what the world sees in you?
Do you know that telling truth won't make you popular? People who are comfortable in their sin don't like to have light shine upon it. But unless the light shines, how will we be a bride without spot and wrinkle?
People ask me where the greater glory is and I am telling you today. It's being held back waiting on us to live right. G-d is not going to put it into the hands of people who are not listening to Him and people who presume He will not do what He said He will.
Here's a prime example. Malakhi/Malachi 3:8 AMP says, "Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? (You have withheld your) tithes and offerings." Well I can promise you that G-d will laugh at you when financial calamity comes. And for many it is heading your way.
Misheli/Proverbs 1:25-31 AMP says "And you treated as nothing all my counsel and would accept none of my reproof. I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when the thing comes that shall cause you terror and panic-- When your panic comes as a storm and desolation and your calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. Then they will call upon me (Wisdom) but I will not answer; they will seek me early and diligently but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord, would accept none of my counsel, and despised all my reproof, therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be satiated with their own devices." Of whose fruit do they eat? Their own!
I can tell you that the world today is in a mess. Shockingly, many children of G-d are trying to go ahead of the L-rd and He is not with them at all. They have not listened and they have not obeyed and their presumption is bringing a lot of painful consequences. They have refused the counsel of the Almighty and they are about to eat the fruits of their own ways.
What must we do to get out of the mess we are in? Repent, confess our sins and ask G-d to forgive us and turn around and listen to G-d and obey Him. Obey the Word.
Yeshua carried our sin to the Cross approximately 2000 years ago. Why are we picking it up again? This has been a question in my heart for several weeks. Why do we continue to play with sin? It kills. It pays wages of death. It's holding back great things that G-d has planned for us.
Today is the day of salvation in every area of your life if you will but only make Yeshua the L-rd of your life in every area. G-d promises in Mishlei/Proverbs 1:33 AMP "But whoso hearkens to me (Wisdom) shall dwell securely and in confident trust and shall be quiet, without fear or dread of evil." The L-rd hides away g-dly wisdom and stores it for those who are upright and right standing with Him. He is a shield and preserves the way for those who obey.
Many have been questioning things going on in the world. Why are there some evil rulers? Why are evil situations taking over? Why is the economy failing? What is happening to our freedom? I can tell you. It's failure to listen to G-d and obey Him. People have gone their own way making their own choices and G-d is allowing them to eat the fruits thereof.
It's time to get very honest with ourselves and with G-d and get Him into our situations. He's not going to come into our situations until we let go of sin. Arrogant and presumptuous sin is the worst.
