Live To Full Age!
by PJ

I was born young and I've stayed young. I have every intention of remaining young. In perpetual youth I live and I refuse to leave it.

Medical science has made it possible to have all kinds of procedures to keep a person from looking old. People are able to laugh and pull off great aging routines. But underneath it all, a truth continues to operate, i. e., the aging process.

One has to wonder what the prospects of growing old are. As children we play and learn; as teenagers we play, learn and are given more privileges; as young adults we become educated and work and build families; as middle-aged adults we watch our children as they become parents; and as time progresses......a fruitful life looks in the mirror and says, "Is this all there is?" Suddenly retirement hits and people think they're old. But unless you are older than Moshe when he lead the Hebrews out of Egypt at 80, I don't think you can even consider yourself in old age. Well Glory to Yeshua, G-d has a good plan for those entering the phase called old age.

I tease the younger crowd and tell them not to annoy me too much about my age because from my vantage point in middle age I can see G-d's closet and their old suits are hanging in it. *smile*

According to the Word of G-d, there is a fabulous plan for those of age who trust Him. Yesha'yah/Isaiah 46:4 AMP says, "Even to your old age I am He, and even to hair white with age will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry and will save you."

G-d promises in T'hillim / Psalm 92:12-15 NKJV "The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." In other words, G-d gives those of old age ministries and grants them to continue to bear fruit. Old trees bearing fruit!

I've seen people reach old age and suddenly start looking for death coming down the road. No no no.....this is not what the Word tells us to do! The Word tells us in T'hillim/Psalm 103:5 that G-d satisfies the mouth with good things so that youth is renewed like the eagle's. That means when you start looking and feeling old....you'll just shed the old like an old beak and feathers and start looking and feeling young again!

G-d promises us long and satisfied lives. If we aren't satisfied, who said we have to die? We don't. We are to just keep living until we are satisfied. According to Mishlei/Proverbs 9:11 NKJV, "For by me your days will be multiplied, And years of life will be added to you." If we look to G-d, walk in faith, trust Him, believe His Word, there is no reason old age shouldn't be as productive as any other age.

It's not enough to live just to old age. It's enough to live to full age, to the fullness of one's days. Mishlei / Proverbs 10:27 NKJV says "The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened." Don't cut your life short by not living past old age. You've got more living to do. So live to full age!
