Made Loveable And Worthy
by Nancy Harry
One time, during the reading of my Bible, I found myself reading scriptures about God's love. All of a sudden, I felt the deepest love consume my being, as if it was raining down from heaven, totally saturating me. Immediately, I thought everyone has to know this deep love that God has for them. Time had gone by and today was a bright warm day. The windows were flung open to let the passing breeze cleanse the rooms of stale air. I was feeling good and motivated to do some house cleaning. Being a paper saver, I started with some piles that had been growing for a quite a long time.
I came across one paper that had been saved, from a time before that special experience. Across the top was written, "I feel unlovable, unworthy, rejected and alone." I looked at it in amazement. I had forgotten those days. Then I remembered the drenching love of God I experienced. Those previous negative feelings written across this now slightly wrinkled paper were removed from my mind.
I grew up in church so I knew God loved me. I enjoyed singing the well-known children's song, "Jesus Loves Me". But, with this special encounter my heart was filled to the rim with his love and I wanted to share that knowledge with others.
Finding this fateful paper with my true feelings exposed made me realize that experience was for me too. God was giving me a reminder that I was completely lovable and worthy of his love. He would not reject me and I was not alone. How merciful, full of grace and awesome he is!
God has this same all-encompassing love for you. Accepting his son Yeshua, whom he loves, makes you worthy, lovable accepted and even more than that, forgiven and righteous in his sight. He really is a wonderful God!
His son Yeshua, the Messiah, came to give life and life more abundantly. He brings freedom; freedom from sin and freedom to live. See, he brings life not pain, not suffering. Even expect more because he is the Giver and he gives his love to you. It is his life. It doesn't matter if you are young or old. You need to know the one who loves you, the one who cares.
