Bless The L-rd O My Soul

Many times I have heard the term "soul" interchanged with "spirit" but the soul is not the spirit. The soul is the mind, will and emotions of a human being. According to Tehillim / Psalms 23, The L-rd is our Shepherd, the provision for every area of our lives so we shall not want. And that provision is made as the soul is restored.

There are many who have experienced great hurt and rejection that have created wounds to the soul. In turn the flesh suffers from the soul's effect upon it. For some people, rejection starts even before they are born when a parent decides not to be a part of that child's life. There are all kinds of rejection and mental pains and anguishes that hinder mankind. These types of hurts make destinies nearly impossible to reach and can literally destroy G-d's plans for lives until G-d is called upon to intervene.

If you are a person who has sustained great wounds to the soul, I want you to know today that you can be healed. G-d showed King David, a man who was acquainted with rejection and hurt, the answer. Tehillim / Psalms 103:1-2 "Bless ADONAI, my soul! Everything in me, bless his holy name! Bless ADONAI, my soul, and forget none of his benefits!"

As a person begins to command their soul to bless G-d, the mind, the will, the emotions all line up together to bless the L-rd. In that blessing of the L-rd and the remembrance of His benefits, you literally are choosing life over death and life begins to pour into the flesh.

We are to meditate upon all His benefits. He forgives all our offenses and heals all our diseases. He redeems our lives from the pit and surrounds us with grace and compassion. He contents us with good as long as we live so that our youth is renewed like an eagle's. He brings vindication to all who are oppressed.

I love the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Matit'yahu / Matthew 9. This woman had a disorder that would have, in the Hebraic culture, caused her to lose everything. Not only would she have lost her finances, she would have lost her position and even not been included in many social situations. She would have been excluded from human touch because she would have been considered unclean. Going to a doctor would have probably placed her in embarrassing straits because we know she had spent all she had and had gotten no better. The shame and rejection she would have felt would have been immense, along with the financial and health issues. Talk about someone in need of soul prosperity.

As this woman made the determination to seek Messiah and touch His garment, she meditated on the benefits of Messiah. The result was she received forgiveness and healing. She received a life redeemed. She received renewed health. She received vindication. She was made whole.

G-d desires us to be in shalom with nothing missing and nothing broken in our lives. He wants us to be so much in His Shalom that our souls are not inscribed with pains and hurts. He wants us to allow Him to bring salvation to our souls as well as our spirits and bodies.

The soul has an effect on the flesh. We need to understand this because a lot of problems in the flesh are rooted in the soul. Toxins are dumped into the flesh by emotional anxiety and stress. Emotions land in the stomach. It's a perfect set up for disease and many people are sick in their bodies because of a wounded soul.

While the message of G-d is pure to our spirits, translating that message to the flesh can make a mess if our souls are hindering it with fear, torment, anger, unbelief and disobedience. The soul is under the influence of either the spirit or the flesh. That's why fasting is so important. When we fast, we lessen the power of the flesh so the spirit can receive all we need from G-d.

Yeshua didn't just forget the soul when He died for us. He found our souls and personalities of great value and worth so He carried our griefs and sorrows. He experienced rejection and hurt. He paid a high price so we could go free. But to go free, we have to move into obedience to the Word.

We must make a choice to bless the L-rd! We must make a choice to speak the Word of G-d or just say nothing at all. We should never speak fear and torment. We should speak and live by faith. When everything lines up in the spirit and soul, there will be health in the flesh.

I heard Lindsay Roberts say one time, "Live so that satan can't find you for finding Jesus." It's true. We should be wearing the armor of G-d, wrapped in His righteousness, covered in His blood, hidden behind His faith, blessing the L-rd and speaking His Words. satan should never see us.....just Yeshua. It is the way to prosperity and wholeness as the body, soul and spirit are healed.
