Holding Fast The Profession Of Our Faith

We know that words are containers of energy that build or destroy, are positive or negative, that hold life or death. (Mashali/Proverbs 13:2,3 AMP) "A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth; but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life; but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction." We know from the book of Dani'el / Daniel that angels come for our words and take them to the throne of G-d. We know that words were used by the King of the Universe to create and that we are to imitate Him. (Mashiakim Yehudim / Hebrews 11:3 AMP) "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Today, let's examine our words with a different perspective.

Mashali / Proverbs 18:4, 7, 20, 21 AMP tell us "The words of a man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook. A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul. A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

Today let's talk about the power of our words.

I was listening to Frank Peretti, a distinguished author, speak about the power of words with a wonderful illustration. There was a little boy who went to kindergarten and every single day a group of boys at the school called him names, told him he was stupid and of no account and that he would never amount to anything. Each successive year these same boys did the same thing to this little boy. At first the words seemed to have no power but after a few years and especially by the 12th grade, this young man believed he was all the others had said so many years. Those words had taken root in the young man and he believed the words and became the words. This very thing has happened to many, and if it has happened to you, I am here to tell you today that if you serve the L-rd that you don't have to believe those words anymore.

G-d's words say you are valuable, special, wonderful, awesomely made, that you can do all things through HaShem/Christ. G-d's words say you are more than a conqueror, that you are the head not the tail, above not beneath, crowned with lovingkindness and compassion, forgiven, reconciled, redeemed, healed, delivered from the curse of sin and death. G-d's words say that you are a child of G-d, saved by grace through faith, justified through faith, sanctified, a new creature, a partarker of His divine nature, delivered from the powers of darkness, lead by the spirit of G-d, kept in safety wherever you go. G-d's words say that you are strong in the L-rd and in the power of His might, an heir of G-d and a joint heir with Yeshua/Jesus. G-d's words say you are blessed coming in and blessed going out, an heir of eternal life, blessed with all spiritual blessings, establishing G-d's Word here on earth, an overcomer by the the blood of the Lamb and the Word of your testimony, daily overcoming ha`satan/satan. G-d's words say you are walking by faith and not by sight, that you bring every thought into captivity, that you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind and a laborer together with G-d. G-d's words say you are an imitator of Yeshua/Jesus and the light of the world.

Yeshua/Jesus said as recorded in Yochanan-Makabi / Mark 11:23 AMP, "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH." Now THAT is power. Yeshua/Jesus said as recorded in Ur / Luke 17:6 AMP "And the LORD said, if you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say unto the sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you." Yeshua/Jesus even demonstrated this and it's recorded in Yochanan-Makabi / Mark 4:39 AMP "And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and SAID unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."

I challenge you to put G-d's words into your mouth and speak speak speak and believe! Let it be said of you just as is recorded in II Corinthians 4:13 AMP "Having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore I have SPOKEN; we also believe, and therefore speak." SPEAK THE WORD! G-d's words always accomplish what they were sent to do. So let it be said of each of us (Mashiakim Yehudim / Hebrews 10:23 AMP) "Let us hold fast the profession (speaking) of our faith without wavering; (for HE that is faithful that promised.)"
