The Prophetic
by PJ

The prophetic gifting is one that is loved/hated by many. I recall as a little girl being able to hear the voice of the L-rd and the more I spoke what I heard the more angry people around me became. It hasn't changed. I make some people really angry really fast and sometimes I annoy people to the point of exasperation yet they cannot even tell you what I have done to make them so angry, they just know they are. It's the prophetic anointing coming out of me. Sometimes it doesn't even have to speak, it just has to rain.

One thing that has never changed about the office of prophet is the fact that people with prophetical anointings are often killed for attempting to save the person or nation to whom they are sent. It's a part of the gift that breaks my heart quite often because prophets are almost always hated and maligned by the people they are sent to warn, almost always called crazy or liars and most usually have attempts made to destroy them. This can even intensify when people repent and G-d changes His mind as He did with Yonah/Jonah and Ninevah.

Prophets don't ask to be called to be prophets. Being hidden away and set apart from society and threatened night and day isn't exactly FUN. Elijah got so worn from it that he asked G-d to die. In modern prophetic, it's no different. When a person mocks a prophet, G-d takes it personally because He considers it an attack against Himself. Prophets are G-d's mouthpieces. Prophets have learned how to shut themselves down and speak what they hear G-d speak. I often wonder what will happen when G-d releases the prophets again to curse those mocking. Think He wouldn't do such a thing?

Malachim Bet/2 Kings 2:23-24 (AMP) says, He went up from Jericho to Bethel.  On the way, young (maturing and accountable) boys came out of the city and mocked him and said to him, Go up (in a whirlwind), you baldhead!  Go up, you baldhead! And he turned around and looked at them and called a curse down on them in the name of the Lord.  And two she-bears came out of the woods and ripped up forty-two of the boys.

There's an interesting passage of scripture in P'yilut Hashaliachim/Acts 13 about the prophets at Antioch, of which two were Barnabas and Rav. Saul/Apostle Paul. In verse 6-12 they came upon a certain Jewish wizard or sorcerer named Bar-Jesus who was trying to prevent the proconsul from coming to the L-rd. This sorcerer had given himself the name Elymas "the wise man." (It sounds like some of the people I run across.) Rav. Saul/Apostle Paul being full of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh/Holy Spirit looked at Elymas and said, You master in every form of deception and recklessness, unscrupulousness, and wickedness, you son of the devil, you enemy of everything that is upright and good, will you never stop perverting and making crooked the straight paths of the Lord and plotting against His saving purposes? Then Rav. Saul/Apostle Paul, operating in the office of the prophet, spoke the Word of the L-rd upon the man that he would be blind for a time. Instantly there fell upon him a darkness and he groped about seeking someone to lead him around.

T'hillim/Psalm 105:15 (AMP) says, Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm. I know of no other office in the Scripture G-d declares a warning to do no harm. Why? Because prophets are G-d's mouthpieces. It's not them speaking, it's Him. When His mouthpieces are destroyed, it's the same as hitting G-d in the mouth! G-d has a very special relationship with the prophets.

As an adult with G-d's call on my life and my eventual submission to it, G-d began to revive and refine in me the prophetic gifting. I won't exactly call myself a prophetess because to do so would be quite vain in my eyes. I merely like to say I have been gifted with prophetical insight and prophetical perception into situations the L-rd allows me to see. G-d sends the prophets. You can't buy a true prophetic word or insight. It really must come FROM G-d as a gift. It is a HOLY calling.

A true prophet of G-d will love G-d's Word and study G-d's Word and will be obedient to G-d. G-d sends prophets to warn people and nations of various things, including G-d's wrath and sometimes the enemy's plans so that people have an opportunity to repent and get into a position of deliverance or blessing. A prophet will deliver a word even when he/she doesn't want just to remain in obedience to G-d.

Most people seek Prophets desiring seers. They are desiring fortune telling. That is evil. The prophet is a man or woman who has a supernatural ability to understand and communicate the divine wills and counsels of G-d. If you believe G-d must provide a prophetic word for your life, then you need to seek G-d and allow Him to put you in a position to be in a prophet's presence so the Word can come forth to you. Don't seek men, seek G-d.

With this in mind, the L-rd recently began to speak to me about the prophet Elijah and the financial situation of the globe. Let's look at Malachim Aleph/1 Kings 17 AMP.

1 Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, "As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word." 2 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: 3 "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there." 5 So he did what the LORD had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

The Prophet Elijah spoke drought upon the land. Why? The L-rd spoke through Elijah that He was shutting down the water. The L-rd then leads Elijah to a brook where the water dries up. Water speaks to us of the Word of G-d. T'hillim/Psalm 119:9 AMP says "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word." So here Elijah is in a land where there is no Word from G-d and the word of G-d to the Prophet is trickling as a brook and dries up. So G-d sends Elijah to Zarephath. Zarephath-- actually means “a smelting place."

G-d changes something in Elijah at Zarephath. He's suddenly become a vessel. What do vessels do? They are containers. The widow woman pours water into Elijah almost as one would prime a pump. The water is no longer outside Elijah but G-d begins to rain and pour forth water inside him. As Elijah speaks to the widow woman the water flows out of Elijah into the pitiful situation. This is the living water that changes situations.

Malachim Aleph/1 Kings 17 AMP 7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the LORD came to him: 9 "Go at once to Zarephath of Sidon and stay there. I have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food." 10 So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked, "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?" 11 As she was going to get it, he called, "And bring me, please, a piece of bread." 12 "As surely as the LORD your God lives," she replied, "I don't have any bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son, that we may eat it—and die." 13 Elijah said to her, "Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. 14 For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'The jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the LORD gives rain on the land.'

Elijah becomes the vessel for the water so he can speak out a miracle. The woman sows the seed for her harvest into the ground of the prophet but she also pours in the water. This woman was no empty vessel. She simply poured into the prophet what she had.

What happened as a result? A miracle. The prophet spoke and oil and meal flowed for her and her family during the entire famine. Why could the prophet do this? Because he had been called by G-d and G-d flowed into him the water he spoke out and a miracle manifested. But don't forget that it took the priming of the pump by the woman.

Malachim Aleph/1 Kings 17 15 She went away and did as Elijah had told her. So there was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. 16 For the jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry, in keeping with the word of the LORD spoken by Elijah.

G-d has been speaking about the financial crisis. He continues to speak that this financial crisis is not long lived and that there shall come behind it great great prosperity to the USA. He continues to speak that there is no recession. So you must decide for yourself how to navigate through the financial uncertainty. G-d has given you the pattern in Malachim Aleph/1 Kings. G-d is raining into the hearts of His prophets and they are speaking out the rain! Will you do your part?

Matit'yah/Matthew 10:41 (NASB), "He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

What exactly is a prophet's reward? At Zarephath it was the extension of life and creative provision through obedience. If you would partner with a prophet whether you are experiencing famine or not, you can be guaranteed that there will be no lack and also no shortage of refreshment and a continued flow of revelation and anointing.

I am reminded of a Pastor who recently handed my ministry $100 for a mission we have on the planning table for December. Here we are in the midst of such financial uncertainty and this Pastor gives all in hand. Less than a week goes by and this Pastor wins $1000 from a Credit Union in the oldest customer drawing. This is why people never hear me ask for money for Signs and Wonders. It's such hot soil I refuse to allow it to be made ill by solicited and wrongly motivated gifts. It's prophetic soil. It's blessed turn around soil. So is the soil of my congregation. It is blessed blessed soil and we desire to keep it that way. I won't even take a gift given to Signs and Wonders without the approval of Yeshua/Jesus. What's worth more to us than money? The continued flow of revelation and anointing. We rather have Yeshua/Jesus. We rather have His wisdom and His anointing flowing than all the money the world doesn't currently possess. heh With His wisdom and His anointing, we have everything we need from salvation in all areas to health to the money we need.

In the midst of all that has occurred financially around the globe for the past couple of months, we have been so blessed. G-d has provided the funds to do missions in Israel, Austria, the Czech Republic and we are currently planning more. We don't stop! We keep going.

Now you might ask yourself why I bothered writing this article. G-d wanted me to do so. I am showing you His pattern to get the revelation, anointing, provision flowing in your life so you can walk out of the global financial crisis without becoming one of its casualties. G-d wants to lead you. Seek His wisdom! Listen to Him! Obey Him! Partner with the man or woman of G-d in your life and keep the flow of water moving!
