KING SOVEREIGN

G-d speaks to every individual and every nation on this planet. He speaks through His creation and He speaks through His Word and He speaks through His servants and prophets. G-d is demanding of us to see ourselves through His eyes as people and nations heading toward great disaster unless we repent and come to Him and do things His way.
I am mortified, at times, when I encounter scoffers and mockers and defiant rebellious about the subject of the King of the Universe. I recognize that no one in his/her right mind would purposely choose the corrupt and disastrous course they have chosen. But even worse are the multitudes who claim they know G-d but refuse to recognize that He is not like them and blindly head toward disaster thinking they are just fine with G-d and are not. Many people incorrectly assume that G-d is just another Friend, Someone Who will always forgive and come to their rescue, Someone Who answers prayers at their command, Someone Who requires their praise and worship to gain power. But He is the Sovereign King! And there is none like Him anywhere!
His Majesty is the Supreme Authority and Supreme Ruler of the entire universe! He isn't our heavenly order taker or wish granter. He doesn't jump at our command or wish. He doesn't even require our praise and worship to maintain His power. In fact, we desperately need to praise and worship Him so He will inhabit our praise by His power. He is the RULER and everything in the universe must obey Him, including every man, woman and child and every rebellious angel. No one will share His glory...no one.
G-d demands that man walk in His wisdom, but to obtain that wisdom requires the fear of the L-rd. That means that wisdom requires us to walk in reverence of the Most High G-d respecting His law, His will, His government and Him.
Fear of the L-rd is not dread or terror, but love and shalom that delivers from dread and terror. And this type of reverence is the very foundation of G-d's wisdom.
Reverence is profound respect and love that honors, thanks and worships Him. Reverence hears Him and willing obeys Him in an attitude of deep respect.
Many do not respect and reverence G-d's authority. And because they have not seen or experienced judgment, the people and the nations continue blindly on, going their own way, doing their own thing, making their own rules, operating in their own wisdom. And all the while, they are heading for total disaster because judgment truly is at hand.
The King, in His unfathomable mercy, has reached out through His Servants, through His Word, through His Covenants, through His signs, wonders and miracles, and even through His Son, Messiah Yeshua to mankind to stop their great sled race toward eternal destruction. But most men actually prefer to tune Him out, to close Him off, to defy and go their own way.
It is written in Mishlei/Proverbs 19:23 AMP, "The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil." Contrastingly, those who refuse to fear the L-rd are heading toward death and will dwell in disssatisfaction and shall indeed be visited with evil. Why? They are choosing the god of evil as their master. ADONAI has not one thing to do with their choice.
Tehillim/Psalms 25:14 AMP says, "The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning." What is that deep secret? The answer is in Yochanan/John 7:18. "He who speaks on his own authority seeks to win honor for himself. [He whose teaching originates with himself seeks His own glory.] But He Who seeks the glory and is eager for the honor of Him Who sent Him, He is true; and there is no unrighteousness or falsehood or deception in Him." And because those who follow His ways of being and doing right and have made Him their L-rd abide in Him, they too are true and there is no unrighteousness, falsehood or deception in them. They are new creations covered in His [Blood] Life and His glory rests upon them. All that is His is theirs too.
I believe the earth has reached a place where there is no turn around. It's a very perilous day in which we live and the leaders of the nations are playing games that gamble with the lives of the people G-d has entrusted them to rule. They will be held accountable.
Some of the nations have gotten so far out of line with G-d's ways and order that they are destroying their own people with war plans, economies built on debt, envy of other nations to the point of trying to destroy them, and in some cases the raging desire to erase entire ethnos. Some are using what G-d has entrusted to them to control peoples. There is so much selfishness on national levels that governments are flying down the road to hell's gates.
It's not much different on personal levels. I've seen corporations doing the same thing as governments. I've seen individuals doing the same things as well. But you and I have a choice. We can go the way of the world or go the way of G-d. The Word of the L-rd as recorded in Romans 6:14-16, "Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey; whether of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness?" It's just like the old Bob Dylan song, "Gotta Serve Somebody." There are only two choices because you are a slave to good or evil, blessing or curse, shalom or calamity.
At this season, G-d reminds me of Ya'akov/James 1:27, "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." G-d showed us the way to live by laying down His life for us and we are to emulate Him. But we can't do that if we see brothers in need and shut our hearts. We can't do that if we only speak but don't act. We can't do that if our faith is not backed by good works.
Don't be deceived into thinking that the King doesn't have good eyesight. He's not like us at all. He sees very well into our hearts and motivations. He knows how blessed most of us truly are and how much more we can give than we do. He knows that most of us are more selfish than we dare to face. But we don't have to be.
It's time to let our light so shine with our good work that it causes our Father to receive glory from men. One of the greatest deeper truths in the Word of G-d is simply: As we seek glory for the King, His glory shall rest upon us. And the only way to bring glory to the Sovereign King is to recognize G-d as the Sovereign King and obey the Sovereign King!
