My Friend, My Love, Ruach Ha`Kodesh by PJ
1 Corinthians 12:3 states that no man says Yeshua/Jesus is L-rd except by the Ruach Ha`Kodesh/Holy Ghost. If you are a Believer and a follower of Yeshua HaMashiach, you have been involved with the Rauch Ha`Kodesh since you first heard the good news that Yeshua died for you on the cross. It was the Ruach Ha'Kodesh, through the Word of G-d, Who made the truth that Yeshua was raised from the dead a reality in your heart. When a person receives Yeshua HaMashiach as their L-rd and their Savior, the translation from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Heaven takes place and is sealed by the work of the Ruach Ha`Kodesh. He takes a sinner and recreates his spirit in G-d's image. Y'chizki'el/Ezekiel 36:26-27 AMP says, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." So everyone who is a Believer and has received salvation, has had an encounter with the Ruach Ha`Kodesh.
Our Heavenly Father, is a Giver! He gave us all good things to enjoy. He gave us life, salvation, healing, prosperity, hope, light... liberty. And He did no less with the Ruach Ha`Kodesh. Yeshua said as recorded in Yochanan/John 14:16-17 AMP, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and SHALL BE IN you."
G-d made it perfectly clear He was going to release the Ruach Ha`Kodesh to dwell IN believers. Yochanan/John 7:38-39 AMP says, "He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive; for the Ruach Ha`Kodesh was not yet given; because that Yeshua was not yet glorified.)
The work of the Ruach Ha`Kodesh indwelling and filling a Believer is beyond marvelous. The Ruach Ha`Kodesh guides a Believer into all truth showing him things to come, enduing the Believer with power and boldness to cause the Believer to become a witness to the ends of the earth. (Yochanan/John 16:7, 13; Acts 1:4-5, 8)
This is precisely what happened to me in July, 1972. I prayed, after accepting Yeshua as L-rd of my life, and I asked the Heavenly Father for the Ruach Ha`Kodesh and no one was more shocked than I was to have such a powerful encounter. The Spirit of G-d literally welled up in me and took His rightful place on the throne of my heart.
Some Believers have nice little experiences and quiet encounters, some just have to walk by faith and then there are a few, like me, who have such radical encounters. I don't know why this is but I do believe it has to do with how much we believe. It never occurred to me to doubt. The Ruach Ha`Kodesh infused me and changed my life radically.
Last month the Ruach Ha`Kodesh and I celebrated 35 years walking together. We've walked through things together that only G-d, Himself, could have made it through. He's my best friend and I am set apart for Him.
People sometimes ask me to talk about my intimate relationship with Ruach Ha`Kodesh and it's very hard to do because to tell anyone how deeply I love Him is quite frankly...impossible. But because Yeshua deserves the best a Believer can give Him...I will expose that which I hold most precious about myself and reveal the intimate side of my relationship with Ruach Ha`Kodesh.
I remember one time in a Kathryn Kuhlman service, as I watched her float back and forth across the stage, hearing her say something I could not understand at the time. She kept saying....."He's all I have. Don't hurt Him. He's all I have." And that is what I say to you. "HE IS ALL I HAVE. I WON'T LET YOU HURT HIM." The Spirit of G-d is His heart. His great love for us is so deep through His Spirit. The Spirit never points to Himself but to Yeshua alone. He's quiet, very much a gentleman and will not force Himself on anyone. But it is possible and very easy to grieve Him. We don't take this seriously enough. We really DO grieve Him and hurt Him sometimes.
There have been times in my life that losses, sorrows, pains I've encountered were just too much for me. In my brokeness, the Ruach Ha`Kodesh has literally carried me and held me and comforted me and kept my mind whole. He's never abandoned me, even when everyone else in my life, has. He's spent years teaching me elemental truths of the Kingdom, and He waited even while I was too busy to learn. He just kept leading me and guiding me to truth.
I did not expect the relationship to grow so deep but it has. He's MISHPACHA (FAMILY). He's my greatest love. He's my dearest friend. He's my closest confident. He's the smartest teacher. He's the most loving and kind entity I have ever known and I would rather die than live one second without His love. One might say I am addicted and one might say I am in love and one might say it's beyond the realm of understanding and in all three instances, I would agree.
The things Ruach Ha`Kodesh has revealed to me in the past 35 years are beyond explanation. He knows everything. He reveals things that go far beyond my limited understanding. Example: I was reading the scripture one day and began to ask Him for an understanding of the love of G-d for me alone. Suddenly I was hit by this intense squeezing pressure that was complete ecstasy but I had to tell Him to stop because I thought I would die any second. He told me that was but ONE DROP of Yeshua's love for me alone. And suddenly I began to understand what mere words could not teach...that every human that had ever lived, was living or would live all together could not handle all the love Yeshua has to give. We truly do not understand how great our G-d is.
In my walk with Ruach Ha`Kodesh, I have seen the sick healed, the lame walk, the blind see, captives set free, the dead raised. Twice He has raised the dead in response to my simple and childlike requests. But only the love of G-d shed abroad in my heart moved Him to do so.
To have an intimate relationship with Ruach Ha`Kodesh takes faithful work. It takes consistency and obedience. It takes love.
When a person tells me they wish to build a relationship with Ruach Ha`Kodesh, my response is not usually well-received because it means work. My answer is to dig into the Word and spend more time in prayer. When a person does that, he/she shows himself/herself approved. The L-rd begins to trust us when we become trustworthy. This is why people who give up and unfaithful people start getting left behind. They don't understand because they think it's easy. But the truth is there's a lot of work and a lot of time and a lot of years behind my relationship with Ruach Ha`Kodesh. There have been times I've had to believe Him against all foes with no one but Him to stand beside me. And I have learned to remain faithful and tenacious even when everything seems to go wrong. That is very difficult and many people fall because things don't go their way.
How committed am I to Ruach Ha`Kodesh? I gave Him not only my past and my present but I've already given Him my forever. I love Him so much that I have given all I was, all I am and all I shall ever be forever to Him. His response to me was "PJ, that's how marriage is. I gave Myself for you now you give yourself for Me....." Then as He began to reveal I saw it was Him breathing out and me breathing in and me breathing out and Him breathing in......a covenant relationship.....dancing.....operating in unison....a circle of chaim/life. This is not a walk for the weak, selfish, lazy, or faithless person. It's a walk for a dead to self person. You cannot commit yourself to G-d totally and be alive to your own ambitions. Some people want to be right more than to have Him in their lives. But when you get to know Him, you will find that He is moved by purity of heart and love.....operating His Word.
P`yilut Hashaliachim/Acts 19:2-6 AMP says, "He said unto them, Have ye received the Ruach Ha`Kodesh since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Ruach Ha`Kodesh. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto Yochanan's baptism. Then said Saul, Yochanan verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Moshiach Yeshua. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of HaShem Yeshua. And when Saul had laid his hands upon them, the Ruach Ha`Kodesh came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied."
Perhaps you are like these people and have never even heard there's a Ruach Ha`Kodesh to receive. If so.......then today is your day to receive. Ur/Luke 11:13 AMP says "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children; how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Ruach Ha`Kodesh to them that ask him?"
Heavenly Father, I come to You b`shem Yeshua. I ask You today to fill me with the Ruach Ha`Kodesh. Ruach Ha`Kodesh, I ask You to rise up within me as I praise G-d. I fully expect to speak with other tongues as You give me the utterance as is written in P`yilut Hashaliachim/Acts 2:4. B`shem Yeshua. Amen!
Begin to praise G-d for filling you with the Ruach Ha`Kodesh. Speak those words and syllables you receive-----not in your own language, but the language given to you by the Ruach Ha`Kodesh.
You have to use your own voice. G-d will not force you to speak. Don't be concerned with how it sounds. It is a heavenly language! Continue with the blessing G-d has given you and pray in the spirit every day. You'll never be the same!
